Literature Text

Whispers are all I hear,
Surrounding me, they're a blanket of fears,
With their seductive voices they tell me to follow,
So I follow the whispers, so tempting, so sallow.

Shadows were all I saw,
And I regarded their antics from afar,
They were dancing, are they singing? Their limericks ring hollow,
So still I followed the whispers, so tempting, so sallow.

Enveloped in whispers, surrounded by shadows,
I step left tentatively, eluding the dancers, so graceful, so sallow.
But oh! I slipped and I fell and I fell down an abyss, in a feisty speed,
And as I fell the Darkness reached for me, while whispers comforted in this time of need.

So now I dance with the shadows,
   and sing with the whispers,

we're so quiet, so tempting, so sallow.
I wrote this poem for Language arts, the prompt was dream, and this is what came of it. Thats also why its kind of restricting in itself, I could only make it 14 lines so I had to adapt what I really wanted to say into those 14 lines. So, yes, enjoy. :3

I love the flow of this...very seductive - I believe at the end I was dancing as well
